​If you are a first responder, military, public safety personnel,  retirees / veterans of these services , or a member of their families and are having a hard time with things lately, lets see what Inward Focus can offer you.

We approach our work with this population with a focus on helping you understand why you are having the distressing thoughts, feelings and emotions .  We then work to find a way to not have them as barriers to your enjoyment,  not getting caught up with the distress as much..

Drawing on his education, training and lived experiences as a first responder, Jason provides guidance to the therapists who will be working with you to ensure that your therapy is aligned with helping you deal with your distress and struggles.

Therapy services  specifically designed for first responders, public safety personnel, veterans and retirees, and their families.

 

At Inward Focus, we understand the unique challenges faced by those who serve on the front lines as well as their families who anchor the personal life side of things. These programs are tailored to address the mental health needs of individuals dealing with PTSD, occupational stress injuries, harassment, and other related issues and stressors, including baseline programming for those at the start of their careers.

Our experienced therapists provide a safe and confidential environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. We use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help you manage stressors, process traumatic experiences, and develop coping strategies. Whether you are a police officer, firefighter, paramedic, or any other public safety professional, our goal is to support your mental well-being and help you lead a healthier, more balanced life.  We also work with families to help them through this time as well.

We offer personalized treatment plans that cater to your specific needs and circumstances. Our sessions are designed to be flexible and accommodating, ensuring that you receive the support you need at a pace that works for you.

Join us in taking the first step towards healing and recovery. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, and we are here to help you every step of the way.

Individual Therapy

Whether you require in-person or virtual sessions, you will work with a therapist to help you recognize and understand how your work related stressors and traumas are impacting you.  Together with your therapist, you will develop a plan to address these concerns and work towards achieving your goals for therapy.

Baseline Assessment and Skill Development

Geared directly to those preparing for a career as a first responder or within the public safety personnel field.  

 

Over the course of 8-12 sessions, you will work one on one with a therapist to assess and document your current mental wellness in all aspects of your life.  Along the way, you will be introduced to career specific skills to assist with coping and resiliency on the job and in your life.  

​

During your career, you will have exclusive access to your baseline therapist too. help you navigate concerns as they arise.

Group Therapy

Groups sessions will be offered to allow you to learn introductory skills and gain basic knowledge of common causes of distressing thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Groups will be announced on an on-going basis as interest dictates.

Presentations / Consultations

You will work directly with Jason and his Team to develop educational

 workshops to assist with employee wellness.  â€‹

​

This service is ideal for units within a larger service looking to foster a healthy environment for their employees.

Fees for  
Services

One to One therapy  - $195.00 

* We are approved WSIB providers and are supervised by a psychologist for all services offered under the Community Mental Health Program for first responders.

Baseline Assessment and Skill Development - $195

​* Sliding scale offered for those not covered by benefits.

​​

 

Group Therapy - Determined by type of group

Presentations  / Consulting - Fees are TBD  â€‹

** As Services / Organizations have varying rates of coverage, Inward Focus believes that because of your service, you should not have to pay out of pocket to maintain your mental wellness related to your professional career.  We will charge according to your insurance plan.
